SPCAA Newsletter - October 2019

Dear Alumni,

We would like to bring you the following news and annoucements:

1. School Enhancement Project Updates (October)

Dear SPC Alumni,

From day one of the fundraising campaign for the school enhancement project, we have received tremendous support from our alumni, college and primary school parents, teachers, staffs, and all friends of St. Paul’s.

We sincerely thank our alumni for the donations and pledges, HK$ 56M in total, in Campaign One. Most of them donated individually but some of them donated as a class or group. For example, Classes of 1966, 1967, 1967 F.1D and 1972 donated classrooms and the resource room while Classes of 1962, 1967 F.1D, 1968, 1984/85 F.6A, 1988 F.3C, 1988 F.3E, 1991, 1992, 2001 F.5F, as well as the Head Prefect Group, the Interact Club (72-74), Ontario Alumni Association of SPC and San Francisco Bay Area Chapter donated toward the Donors’ Wall. We have also received donations from the class of 1975/77, SPC Doctors, the Graduation Dinner Committee of 2017/18. There are also ongoing discussions with classes such as 1974, 1996 and 2005. These are strong testimonials to their care for our Alma Mater.

Besides class gifts, Class of 1993 has also initiated a class sponsored event for fundraising. They are organizing a Bonart Workshop at 2pm – 4pm on 12 Oct 2019 at St. Paul’s College Primary School. This is a joint project with MicroForests, a local social enterprise. The admission fee is HKD480 which includes the material cost of ONE Bonart and a LEGO Minifigure with an SPC logo. All fees will be donated to the School Enhancement Project.

We really appreciate the initiative and we would like to encourage similar projects from classes or interest groups. If you are interested, please contact us by phone at 852-25462248 or email to info@spc-foundation.org.hk.

Last but not least, some alumni also shared their ideas with us. Please find out more by visiting our website www.spc-foundation.org.hk and Facebook page www.facebook.com/spcsep/. Please “like” and share with your fellow Paulines.

We look forward to your support for St. Paul’s College.

With regards,
