SPCAA Newsletter - August 2020

Dear Alumni,

We would like to bring you the following news and annoucements:

1. SPC Foundation Updates

Dear Fellow Alumni,

I hope everyone is healthy and continue to stay well.

It is probably one of the most unforgettable summer in everyone’s life. Under the spectre of Covid-19, our daily life has changed dramatically to accommodate for the effort to combat the disease. We have to keep social distance with each other, cover our faces in hot and stuffy weather and minimise meeting other. However, nothing stops our alumni’s continuous support of our alma mater.

As I indicated in my last newsletter, there is a major revamp of the organisation structure of the Foundation. I would like to report that the task is complete and the committee convenors and members have started functioning.

Presently, we are proceeding to the next phase of the School Enhancement Project, a new front entrance and foyer, an indoor Swimming Pool, and a modernized Library. We will build new structures and will redesign the location of the special rooms, school office and the staff rooms, so as to allow enhance connectivity between students, teachers, parents and alumni.

2. News from St. Paul's 2019-2020

The digital version of "News from St. Paul's" is now available at the College website. The new issue features news and updates about the College and our global alumni communities over the past year. We hope you enjoy reading it.

Incidentally, while we are delighted to mail hard copies of the publication to our alumni around the globe, we at the same time encourage them to go green with us and consider subscribing to the e-edition. You may simply let us know your preference by filling out the Google Form.

4. 170th Anniversary Dinner Organising Committee

Sign up for the St Paul's College 170th Anniversary Dinner Organising Committee!

Our alma mater will turn 170 years old in 2021. To celebrate this historical anniversary, the St Paul's College Alumni Association (SPCAA) is now forming a committee to organise a gala dinner at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This monumental task cannot be completed without the help of fellow SPC alumni, therefore we are openly recruiting Paulines who are interested in voluntarily serving as committee members. 6. Be Connected with SPC

The College is building a database to bond closer with the alumni. This database will be maintained, protected and operated only by the school authority to update you regularly with the information about the College's activities and growth plans. 7. Meeting Teachers & Class Reunion

The SPCAA would like to extend assistance to classes of alumni who wish to:

1) meet their past teachers; or
2) celebrate their quinquennial anniversaries in 2020.
