Dear Alumni,

The SPCAA is pleased to invite you to the following activities in March and share a preview of events upcoming in April.

1. San Francisco Bay Area Annual Spring Dinner

This year, the annual Spring Dinner in the San Francisco Bay Area will be held on Saturday, 4 March, at ABC Seafood Restaurant in Foster City.

All SPC alumni and family members are welcome. RSVP to Frederick Wong (1988) at frederick@frederickwong.com.

2. SPCAA Spring Dinner 2017 in Hong Kong

To celebrate the New Year, please join alumni in Hong Kong for the annual Spring Dinner at SPC Assembly Hall.

Date: 5 March 2017 (Sunday)
Time: 7.00pm (Reception at 6.00pm)
Venue: SPC Assembly Hall
Ticket: HK$220 per person; HK$2,640 for a table for 12 persons

All alumni and family members are welcome. For registration, please email Priscilla at priscilla.fan@alumni.org.hk on or before 3 March 2017, noting your (1) name, (2) graduation year and (3) phone number in the email body.

Please attach a copy of the pay-in slip if you are paying by ATM deposit, or a screen shot of the transfer confirmation if you are making a bank transfer online.

3. SPCAA Committee Meeting - March 2017

The next meeting of the SPCAA Committee will take place on 5 March immediately before the Spring Dinner.

Date: 5 March 2017 (Sunday)
Time: 6.00pm
Venue: SPC Assembly Hall

All alumni members are welcome to sit in.

4. Supermelon Cup

Divisional winning teams and the first-runner-ups of the Cup and Bowl matches in the Watermelon Cup will be invited to the Supermelon Cup for another round of competition.

Date: 26 March 2017 (Sunday)
Venue: SPC Lower Playground
Time: 9.00am until matches are finished

Please mark your diary and come to show your support for the teams!

Draws will be held ASAP. Please watch the SPCAA Facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/spcaa) for updates.

5. Education Study Tour in Macau 2017

For the second year, SPC and the SPCAA are joining hands to organise an education study tour. Tentative itinerary of this year's two-day tour in Macau is as follows:

Day 1 (Saturday, 1 April 2017)
9.00am Ferry from Sheung Wan to Macau
10.00am Arrive at Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal
10.45am-12.30pm Visit Pui Ching Middle School
1.00-2.30pm Lunch
2.30-4.30pm Visit University of Macau
5.00pm Check-in at Hotel Royal Macau
7.00pm Dinner

Day 2 (Sunday, 2 April 2017)
8.30am Breakfast at hotel
9.30am Visit Institute for Tourism Studies
11.30am Lunch buffet at Macau Tower
2.30pm Visit Macau YMCA
4.30pm Visit Rua do Cunha (optional)
6.00pm Self-arranged dinner

Participants may choose to take the 6.30pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm or 9.30pm ferry back to Hong Kong.

6. Historical Site Visit to Yeung Kui-wan's Grave and the Hong Kong Cemetery

The SPCAA History Team and the History Department of SPC will jointly organise a site visit to Yeung Kui-wan's grave in the Hong Kong Cemetery. Details as follows:

Date: 8 April 2017 (Saturday)
Time: 10.00am to 12.00pm
Venue: Hong Kong Cemetery, Happy Valley
Fee: Free of Charge
Participants: 20 max.

Registration: Please send an email to priscilla.fan@alumni.org.hk with your name, year of graduation and phone number on or before 31 March 2017.

About Yeung Kui-wan:
Yeung Kui-wan (), an early SPC alumni, was the founder of Furen Literary Society () and was actively involved in anti-Qing revolutionary activities in the late 19th century. He was assassinated in 1901 and was buried under a monument without any inscription in the Hong Kong Cemetery. During this tour, we will take a walk inside the cemetery to also investigate the graves of some other famous personalities buried there. This visit will be of interest to those who wish to know about pre-war Hong Kong history. All alumni are welcome, especially mentors and mentees.

7. Fearless Dragon Charity Run 2017

The SPCAA Running Team is to take part in the Fearless Dragon Charity Run (rsO]) 2017, organised by our SPCAA runner - Kim Mok (1986). Kim is the Chief Executive of HKNPIS ˰@ĺ (www.inclusive.org.hk). Alumni and family members are invited to join this charity run together with SPCAA runners. Details as follows:

Date: 30 April 2017 (Sunday)
Start Time: 9.00am (3km / 10km); 8.30am (15km)
Venue: Pak Tam Chung Picnic Garden (_F˰ֶ)
Registration Fee: HK$290 per person (to be donated to HKNPIS)
