Dear fellow alumni,

At the time of World Cup fever, Paulines continue to maintain their close contact with each other and keep in touch with our Alma Mater.

SPC 155th Anniversary

The committee has had a meeting with the school management on the ways to cooperate to make the 155th Anniversary celebtation a successful one. We will take part in the School Carnival (18/11), the 155th Anniversary Concert (5/12) and organise the Grand Reunion Dinner (16/12). Other 155th events include the Exhibition Day (28/10) and the Speech Day (12/12). Please mark your diary first and details will be announced after summer.

The new block of SPC

Those who live close to St. Paul's should be well aware that the new block above the swimming pool is close to completion. There will be a special opening ceremony to be held in this Autumn. Details will be announced by the school when the date of moving in has been fixed.

Our new Principal, Dr. John Kennard

Dr. Kennard has taken up the principalship since 1/3. In the past four months he picked up the issues very fast and he has advised the Council that he would introduce measures to further improve the school management in various aspects. He is also very active to meet the alumni community, attended many alumni functions and take proactive steps to meet as many alumni as practicable. We are particularly grateful that he appeared as our guest in the monthly meeting, mentorship dinner and the happy hour drinks gathering recently. We look forward to having more contacts with Dr. Kennard with a view to jointly bring SPC to a brighter future.

Date of Next Meeting

The next monthly meeting will be held on 6 July 2006 (Thursday) at the usual Lei Po Kok Restaurant, 18/F Lee Theatre Plaza, Causeway Bay. Our beloved PE master, Mr. H P Chow, who has retired from SPC recently after 40 years of distinguished service, will come to say a few words to us. Perhaps we could get some tips from him on who will be the World Cup winner this year!!

See you all then!!
