Approval of Recent Membership Applications
In response to growing enquiries about membership status, the Committee would like to reaffirm its commitment to fostering and promoting close relationship and better understanding among past and present students, parents, guardians and staff of St. Paul’s College. Any past student of the College or the Primary School aged over 18 is eligible to become an ordinary member of SPCAA. Other persons, such as current students and teachers, may become a member in other membership classes.
To this end, we introduced online registration in March this year as an alternative to paper submission. While we are simplifying the application process, membership of SPCAA shall be approved by the Committee in compliance with Article 33 of the Articles of Association. The Committee holds regular meetings every two months and the last meeting was held on 18 November 2020.
In view of a large number of membership applications since the last meeting, the Committee has decided to hold a special meeting on 12 December 2020 to approve the latest batch of applications. In order to allow time for alumni to apply, and at the same time allow time for the secretariat to process, interested alumni should apply via http://www.alumni.org.hk/membership/register not later than 3:00pm on 10 December 2020.
Applications made after the prescribed time will be approved by the Committee in its next regular meeting. Only ordinary members who are on the register of members are eligible to vote at general meetings.
For alumni who wish to enquire about the register of members, please send an email to secretariat@alumni.org.hk. We shall reply as soon as practicable.
